    Just reset my computer for one reason or another and ever since then I've had this window pop up when I run certain games. Reads just like the title, with the option to search the windows store but that leads to no results. I've tried a few things, basically everything I found in this old question someone asked: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/at-game-startup-youll-need-a-new-app-to-open-this/1dce64fd-30e7-4a42-90e8-427026d6aed6?page=2 None of it worked.

    I was able to download and extract the files. I did run them as Administrator, but did not see the start up item. It really only occurs when I load a game that uses the ms-gamingoverlay.

    When the file downloads, unzip it.

    Depending on your system, run Autoruns or Autoruns64 as Administrator

    In the search box in Autoruns, type gaming

    Does that find the startup entry for ms-gamingoverlay

    If it does, right click and delete the entry found
