  1. Why is Windows System Files taking up more than 600 Gigabytes of storage

I have a 1 Terabyte SSD card as the primary storage for my PC which hosts my downloads and primary software, and a 4 Terabyte SSD card specifically for games as a secondary storage. I recently ran out of room on my C drive and tried to free up space by deleting unnecessary and temporary files but not matter how much space I freed up it would be full within a day or two. Recently I discovered my System Files taking up a full 674 Gigabytes of space. What could be causing this and how can I fix it so it doesn't quickly refill again?

    :)

System files taking up 85GB of storage space

Hi, there are tutorials that can help you free space:
Free Up Drive Space in Windows 10
Free Up Disk Space Now with Storage Sense in Windows 10

I prefer Wiztree to the outdated WinDirStat mentioned in the above:

Thsi may help you see where your space is used.

I've set the colours so red marks files I might be interested in adding to Ccleaner's list should I so wish - here you can see some dmp files.

Why is Windows System Files taking up more than 600 Gigabytes of storage

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
