Windows 10: my inspiron 3558 touch screen not working

Hi, I am craftrocker124, so i have recently reinstalled windows on to my laptopi cannot reset or revert so before the touchscreenhid complaint touchscreen used to work but after the install it stopped working, it is showing up on device manager as a hidden device but in the properties it says device not connected even if it is...... .So i did actually face this problem before and i could fix it myself but now I have tried I couldnt fix itCan you help pls.

Dell Inspiron 17 Touch Screen not working

I have a Dell Inspiron 17 running Windows 10 version 1903 and my touch screen stopped working. Any suggestions I can try to get it back up and working?

Thanks for your reply. I actually downloaded and installed all of the Inspiron 7568 Windows 10 (64-Bit) drivers from Dell after I installed Windows 10. This includes the three drivers that you suggested. The touch screen has not worked at all. Everything
else seems to be working properly. There are no warning "splashes" for any device in Device Manager and no unknown or "Other" devices. I have read that there should be a listing under the Human Interface Devices section labeled "HID-compliant Touch screen",
but there is no such listing. Only "HID-compliant Touch" which I believe is the touch pad.

I am very frustrated.

Were you able to see if your driver is up to date?

We suggest to update the touch screen driver and check for resolution.

Follow the steps provided:

• Press Windows key and X on your desktop and click on Device Manager.
• Expand Human Interface Devices.
• Locate the Touch screen driver.
• Right-click on the driver icon and click on Update Driver Software.
• Click on Search automatically for the updated driver software.
• Follow the onscreen instructions to update the touch screen driver.
