Windows 10: Home folder not showing/appearing in file explorer

    Home folder not showing/appearing in file explorer


    I updated to windows 11 recently and for some reason, i cant access the home folder from my file explorer. It's like it simply doesn't exist. The only way i'm able to open it is by making a shortcut of it on my desktop, but if i close the file explorer at any point, the folder just disappears again. Pinning it to the file explorer doesn't do anything.

    File Explorer in Win 10 taskbar not showing Recent folders

    When I right-click Word or Excel in my Windows 10 taskbar, a list of recent folders appears. But when I right-click File Explorer, only Pinned and Frequent folders appear. Neither of these is as useful to me as the Recent folders. Any suggestions on how
    I can get Recent folders to appear?

    If you're having trouble seeing your personal documents, it might be caused by a file corruption. We suggest following the steps provided by Pavan_N in this

    File Explorer in Win 10 taskbar not showing Recent folders

    logarajsivasamy, my "Show recently opened items..." (step 4) was already on. Although recent folders appear in Word, Excel etc in the taskbar, they don't appear in File Explorer.
