Windows 10: Windows 8 Update fails with error 80072EFE – Tried many solutions

Hello Microsoft Community, I am using Windows 8, and when I try to check for updates, I get the following error: “Windows could not search for new updates. Error Code: 80072EFE” I have tried the following steps, but the issue still exists: Checked and corrected the date, time, and time zoneTried to sync with different time servers e.g., time.windows.com, time.nist.govRestarted the Windows Time service and Windows Update serviceCleared the SoftwareDistribution folderTemporarily disabled antivirus and firewallChecked my internet connection working fine Nothing has worked so far. This makes sense if it's about Windows 8

Update Windows 8 Windows Update client to fix error 80072EFE

but the Update Client suggested has issues. Instead of it install KB3013767 right away.

recently i refreshed my my windows 8.1 after refreshing it went back to its original version of window 8.

now i am trying to install all important updates so that i can upgrade it to 8.1 but unfortunately it's reflecting error code 80072EFE.

I have tried multiple times to update windows but it's not working . any solution?
