Windows 10: windows update download error 0x800703f1

I have tried searching and troubleshooting on my own. I have tried to update all drivers by uninstalling and reinstalling. I am not sure I was fully successful with reinstalling. I am also having issues with my brightness - I cannot adjust/access this which seems like a driver issue.

Windows 10 doesn't download updates and gives me error 0x800703f1


So I'll explain what's wrong. I installed my Windows 10 and everything was going smoothly. It has installed 2 updates from the day I've installed it and everything was ok. Recently updates KB3081448 and KB3081449 came out but it doesn't want to download them. Instead it gives me error 0x800703f1. My drivers are up to date and my PC is clean from viruses. Any ideas on how could I fix this?

EDIT: I also tried installing them manually. It failed after step 2 of the installation...

 

Drivers won't update, errors 0x800703f1 and 0x80070002

I have about 20 drivers that need updating. Windows version 18363. The updates download but fail to install. All report error 0x80070002 or 0x800703f1.

I've tried:

• Clearing the download files and restarting the update service.
• Running the troubleshooter
• sfc /scannow
• dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth, which seemed to hang after the scan.
• perfmon /report, which shows that one service is crashing
• Using the Device Manager to install individual drivers
• Various other remedies proposed; I googled the error codes and followed up...

Suggestions?

 

Download error - 0x800703f1

I'm unable to perform most updates on Windows 10 Professional. Currently attempting to update to version 22H2 and also install KB5012170. Some small updates work but I have not had any success installing 22H2. I can't find any pattern between the updates that work and the updates that don't. Error in both cases is "Download error - 0x800703f1". This happens after installation reaches about 20%. Windows Update Troubleshooter appeared to work properly, but did not change the symptoms. Reset Windows Update Components batch file from Reset Windows Update in Windows 10 appeared to work properly, but did not change the symptoms. Any advice would be appreciated.
