Windows 10: How to create the Black screen with green text pin/password for my laptop?

Ok, my ex boyfriend set up a password/pin before password I’m used to on my last computer. It was like a black screen with green writing. How did he do that? I want to do it to my new computer….and I don’t want to have to ask him, lol. I now have a hp laptop model number 14-dq0762dx Thanks so much yall!

Green screen and black

Had the same problem and tried all kinds of updates and reinstalls. Finally I fixed it! Typed in Troubleshooting which brought me the control panel. Look to the left and you will see "view all" click on it. When you click view all you will see the whole troubleshooting list. Double click hardware and devices and run the trouble shooter. Mine said something about an out of date driver but ignore that and click next and it will continue to check for problems. It then found "failed to detect hardware changes" it then applied the fix. I am now finally playing videos without green or black screens.!

 

Black Screen after Log on


Computer boots to windows log on,have no password here.After a minute on log on it go to a black screen,stays there forever. I can get to Task Manager from black Screen,lost on what to do next. Just want my Windows 10 back, not sure what caused this problem. Any Suggestion on what my next step should be?*Sad
