Windows 10: Computer suddenly asking for password sign-in after waking up from sleep

I've only ever had a setting where I'm asked to sign-in with a password if I've completely turned off my computer and started it back up. Just tonight, I'd slept it by hitting the power button, and when I woke up to and awakened the computer, it was prompting me for a password. I've changed no settings on the compter in recent days or weeks.What's going on? Did someone hack my system? I'm a bit worried about security now. Please allay my fears. In any case, how can I change this setting that appears to have been changed by someone other than myself?

Windows does not ask for password after being in sleep mode. Require sign in is selected in stetting's for "When PC wakes up from sleep"

I appreciate the efforts taken by you in resolving this issue. I understand that the computer doesn’t prompt for a PIN/Password after waking up from sleep.



As you have already checked the Sign-in options, I would suggest you to refer the steps mentioned below and see if that helps.



We can try changing the screen saver settings and check. Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows Logo key + I, to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Personalization and select
   Lock screen from the left pane.
   
3. Scroll down and click on Screen saver settings.
   
4. Now, select the screen saver and enter a time.
   
5. Ensure that the checkbox for On resume, display log on screen is selected.
   
6. Click on Apply and OK.

Win 10 no taking to password if I wake computer from sleep


How do I fix this? If I put the computer to sleep or lock it and then wake it up it won't ask for my password, even though it asks me to sign in when I turn on the computer.
