Windows 10: Extremely Slow File Trasnfer Rate

Hi All,I'm looking for some advise please.I have just purchased a new laptop Acer swift go 16 SFG16-72 and I am trying to move my old files to my new machine which is taking an age to do! I am currently trying to transfer 13.2gb files from my desktop to a place on my C: Drive and currently over 12 hours in and only ay 1%. I have also tried trasnferring the same file from an Extrenal Hard Drive to the same location on my C: Drive and still getting the same transfer rate speed. Everything else on my new machine runs perfectly, so something is slowing down the file transfer speeds, but I just d

Cllipchamp loading video extremely slow

   • Sometimes, cached data or cookies in your browser can cause performance issues. Try the following steps:
     
     • Clear your browser cache: This will remove stored data that might be affecting Clipchamp’s performance.
       
     • Clear cookies and site data: Similar to cache, clearing cookies can help resolve loading issues.
       
3. Refresh the Page:
   
   • Sometimes a simple page refresh can work wonders. Right-click on the Clipchamp page and select “Reload” or use your browser’s reload button. This often resolves loading problems, especially when you first open a project.
     
4. Camera Settings:
   
   • While the camera settings on your Galaxy S24 might not directly impact Clipchamp’s loading speed, it’s still worth checking them:
     
     • Ensure you’re recording videos in a compatible format (e.g., MP4, MOV).
       
     • Verify that the resolution and frame rate settings are reasonable. Extremely high resolutions or frame rates might result in larger files that take longer to load.

Extremely slow USB 3 HDD transfer rate on one PC but not the other

I have this Transcend Storage Jet external HDD. I was using it with my desktop Win 10 which supported USB 2.0. The transfer rate was satisfactory over 15MB/s. However, when I tried it on my new Lenovo ideapad 510 which supports USB 3.0 and using its USB 3.0 port, the transfer rate is going at a few 100 KB/s.

The copy window seems to pause a long time interval and only updates the speed and progress bar for just 1 frame every so often. Below is the CrystalDiskMark of this drive:





I've also tried the USB 2.0 ports on my laptop. The results are similar except for SeqQ32T1 and Seq which achieved > 30 MB/s

I've tried the following methods.

Disable Quick Removal Method

I've tried the most accepted answer of this: Extremely slow USB transfer speed but the problems are:

1. It doesn't work
   
2. My old PC also does quick removal and there was no transfer problem.
   

TeraCopy method

However, using TeraCopy, the speed can achieve 32MB/s with the USB 2 port on my laptop. But this is just avoiding the problem, not actually solving it. Actually, the result is exactly the same using Explorer to copy.
