Windows 10: Update Install Failure KB5058499

Hello;This has become the straw that broke the camels back.I built this PC myself in the summer of 2023, every single piece of hardware that was put into it was Windows 11 compliant as required by the terms of Windows 11.For approxiamately a year, everything was fine, there were some small glitches, but nothing major.Then in 2024 Microsoft announces to the world that it is now using AI to write code for Windows 11 and all future OS that may be developed.Since then I have had to either repair or re-install Windows 11 Home 13 times.Yeah that is right, 13 times.I at first thought something was wr

Insurgency wont install and run for me....

I have played and have fully updated CS and Half life 2....
I am using the newest client and installed the SDK.

I am completely blown away, if i click the desktop icon it starts the sdk and then closes, and it doesn't show up in my game list...

First mod attempt install here, followed the directions step by step on the mods website...

Any ideas?

 

"Application Install install package failure!" while installing 13.9

Running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and MSI 6970 Lightning.

I was upgrading from 13.4 after I did a clean uninstall with AMD Catalyst Install Manager.

Doesn't say what installation failed in the install log. Everything in the log says Success but at the very bottom it says "Application Install: install package failure!" but doesn't say what failed to install.

I only install video drivers and no CCC.

The only thing I noticed is AMD Catalyst Install Manager is not listed in my programs list.

 

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
