Windows 10: Today I reinstalled windows 11 home edition. Due to some problem, I reformatted and again...

I reinstalled windows 11 home edition today. My previous windows 11 installation came along with my laptop which I have been using since 2022, there was no bitlocker encryption anywhere. Today sfter installation, I tried using winget to install softwares. Things got botched up. Hence, I reformatted the C: drive and reinstalled windows. Now the D: drive is showing as locked up through bitlocker.Attempts:I tried loggin in into my MS account to get the recovery keys. It asked me to for a code they have sent me in the phone number I used to use in 2022. Now I dont have that number. It was persist

New CPU + New Mobo = Reformat?

Yea, to get the full potential of your new hardware, I would reformat and reinstall like everyone has suggested. *Toast :toast:

 

Still stupidly slow after windows reinstall

Darn, just delete the partition, recreate the partition, reformat, reinstall, done!
Edit: if that doesn't fix it, then there's a hardware problem... hd, cable, or port.

 

Recover or Reformat?

The reformat won't budge?

I did what you said and then was told to remove the CD from the CD-Rom Drive, put in the recovery CD and then press the 'OK' button to continue

So I changed to the next disk but the OK doesn't appear to be being 'pressed'. Yes I have pushed enter on the keyboard which is what I have been using to get me through the other steps..

Any suggestions?
