Windows 10: PC unexpectedly shutsdown on 2nd sleep command

Hi,I've been having this issue for a few months and can't figure out what's causing it. After starting my PC and using it, the first time I put it to Sleep, everything is fine -- screen and fans/lights turn off, and can instantly re-wake using keyboard or mouse. If I re-wake the PC and put it to sleep a 2nd time, it gets stuck. The screen will turn off, but the fan/lights will stay on. Keyboard and mouse will not turn the screen back on. Eventually, the PC will shut off, and I needs to be powered on again to use. When I check the event log, it says the shutdown was unexpected.I've tried reinst

This may happen due to its power plan. A power plan is a collection of hardware and system settings that manages how computers use and conserve power. For this, we suggest that you reset and restore power plans to its default. kindly follow these steps:

• Open the Command Prompt (Admin).
• Copy and paste the command below into the command prompt, and press
  Enter:
  • powercfg -restoredefaultschemes
• Close the Command Prompt window, and then restart your PC to apply the changes.

After that, go to Power & sleep settings
by typing it into the Windows Search. Check the When plugged in, PC goes to sleep after
settings is set to Never.

Windows 10 Sleeps Unexpectedly

Did not help, Anusha. Troubleshooter merely says it shortened the time for turning off the display and it shortened the time for the computer going to sleep. It found no other isues and the computer still goes to sleep unexpectedly. Very frustrating!
I can't even defrag the hard drive because the computer goes to sleep in the middle of the defrag operation. Please make more suggestions! Thank you!

I would appreciate if you can provide us the following information to help us understand the issue better.

• Did you make any changes in prior to this issue?
• Do you get any error message or error code on the screen?

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if that helps.

Method 1: Reset and restore the power plans to default and check if that helps.

1. Click “Windows Key + X”, and then click on
command prompt.

2. In the command prompt, type powercfg –restoredefaultschemes
and hit Enter.

3. Exit command prompt.

Note: This would reset the power plan settings to default. Any previously customized power plans would be removed.

Method 2: I suggest you to Change Screen and Sleep settings in Current Power Plan in Settings app and see if it helps:

• Open Settings, and click/tap on the System icon.
• Click/tap on Power & sleep on the left side, and set the Screen and Sleep settings to what you want for your current power plan.
  
• When finished, you can close Settings if you like.

Method 3: Change Advanced Power Settings of a Power Plan in Power Options.

• Open the Control Panel (icons view) , click/tap on the Power Options icon.
• Click/tap on the Change plan settings link to the right of the power plan that you want to change the settings.
• Click/tap on the Change advanced power settings link.
• If you are an administrator, click/tap on the Change settings that are currently unavailable link.
• You can now make changes to the power plan settings below to suite your needs. When finished, click/tap on OK
