Windows 10: Blue screen issue of bad system config

My laptop is showing blue screen and saying that bad system config and when I restart the laptop it is showing diagnosing pc and goto another blue screen showing bitlocker where it ask me my key and after i enter my key at shows that it cannot repair it and show a restart button and I restart it it shows the same blue screen of bad system config it is going on loop someone pls help me

Hi Dave,

Thanks for that advice. I moved some programs from the c dive to the d drive using your notepad tip. So I've freed up 97gb in the c drive but I'm still getting the blue screen with BAD SYSTEM CONFIG INFO error when I try to start up. I do think the full c drive was the start of the problem. Have you any 9ther suggestions for how I could tackle the blue screen problem.

The error Bad System Config means that something is wrong with the registry on your PC and you'll need to return to a previous configuration. It would be great, if you can help us with the details requested below:

• When do you get the error message?
  
• Does the computer boot to the Desktop?
  
• What is the make and model of the computer?
  
• Are you aware of any changes made to the computer recently?
  

I would suggest you to refer the steps mentioned in the article
Error 0x74: Bad_system_config_info and see if that helps.



Note: The last step in the above article talks about performing a reset on the computer. Resetting the computer will delete all the files and applications from the computer. Do not perform reset on your computer.
