Windows 10: Phone Link - Photos Attached to a Text Message Not Shown on Phone

TEXT messages are showing up in Phone Link just fine, but texted PHOTOS have stopped appearing. Instead I see this: My devices: Computer: Surface Pro 7, Windows 24H2Phone: Pixel 9a, Android 15Both apps Phone Link and Link to Windows are up to date.I've tried stopping and restarting both apps. I've made sure that Link to Windows has all necessary permissions to allow Phone Link access to photos.This has happened briefly in the past and then resolved itself. The issue seems to be lasting longer this time.

Phone Link - Photos Attached to a Text Message Not Shown on Phone

On PC: I attach a photo from my PC to a text message

Recipients: They get the text message and the attached photo

On Phone: I do not see either the text message nor the attached photo

Note: Sending text msgs from PC show up correctly on phone, just not if I have attached a photo

Phone: Pixel 5a (5G)

Android: v12

App: Default Google Messages without chat features turned on

Service: Google Fi (this never worked when I was back on Verizon with older phones on earlier versions of Android either)

 

Phone Link app missing text messages

In Phone Link make sure your phone shows Connected. If it is Offline, click on

to try to resync the phone with Phone Link.

 

Phone Link App -- Can't attach a photo from my Win.11 PC to a Phone Link Message

I selected to "repair" the the Phone Link application today. Still now joy with being able to attach photos from my Win.11 PC to a text message. I then "reset" the Phone Link App to begin anew and the attachment of a photo still doesn't work!

After the long term ability to attach photos, that function recently stopped. Now, not being able to attach a photo, is this a Phone Link App bug? If yes, will it be fixed my MS? Or, if it isn't a widespread bug, are they any other suggestions of how the photo attachment ability may be restored?
