Windows 10: Disabling Microsoft Family Safety

Hi guys! So recently, my computer told me that chrome was disabled due to microsoft family safety and that I needed to request more time from a parent. However, my dad said that he never did anything to set a limit. As we looked online, we saw that by removing the profile from the family group, it would disable microsoft family safety. However, after being removed from the family group, my computer still tells me that chrome has been disabled and that I need to ask for permission from a guardian to use it, despite no longer being in a family. How do I resolve this? Thanks.

To disable your Microsoft account family safety please try the below steps:

- Open the Microsoft Family Safety app > tap "Manage family."

- Choose "Remove from family," > confirm removal.

- Your Family Safety settings will be disabled.

Alternatively, you can do this through your Microsoft account:

- Visit account.microsoft.com/family > sign in.

- Select "Manage my family."

- Click your name and choose "Leave family group."

- Confirm your departure.

Before we proceed, we require more information to assist you better.

• Which web browser are you using?
• Are the settings on the Family Safety options on your computer are the same with the one on
  http://familysafety.live.com?

I suggest you to login with your parental account and check if you are able to manage the family settings.



If the issue still persist, it might appears that the Child account is not configure correctly. I suggest you to remove the Family Safety and configure it again.

Now, setup Family Safety.

After creating the child account, you can then go to the Family Safety website, login using the parent account and then manage your child's restrictions and monitoring options.
