Windows 10: Windows 11 upgrade check says my CPU is not compatible but it is on the list

The Windows 11 upgrade compatibility checker states that my CPU is not compatible, yet it is on the list of compatible CPUs as shown in the web page.It is an Intel Core i7 7700K @4.20 GHz.All other requirements are met.

PC health check says I don't have a compatible CPU for upgrade to Windows 11, but I can find my CPU listed in the 'compatible CPU' list on Microsoft website?

Here is my CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ @ 2.60GHz

I'm running Windows 10 Home 21H1

In the list of compatible CPU's there is this :

In PC health check my system gets a pass for all other criteria - RAM, SSD space etc.

Does anybody know what is amiss here?

CPU not compatible to upgrade to windows 11.

My PC has a I7-7500U CPU installed which is on the compatible list of processors that can run windows 11, however when I run the PC Health Check to see if I can upgrade the software it's saying that the CPU is not compatible. Mine is clearly listed as being compatible.

All the other checks carried out by the PC health check come back as green ticks for compatibility.

Has anyone come across this and how do I resolve it. I have spoken to Microsoft and they gave me a load of flannel about the hardware manufacture. I checked on the HP website for compatibility and they say the chip set in my PC is easily able to run the new operating system.

It would seem that the software doesn't actually match what is on the Microsoft Site.

If your CPU is shown as compatible in the intel cpu /win 11 check list then install win 11 as per

To upgrade an existing win10 system to win 11, even if the system passes health check requires not least editing Bios settings, Secure Boot, TPM, convert MBR to GPT (the latter requires a paid for third party utility)
