Windows 10: Audio jack displays sound, but not voice input

Good afternoon, I’m currently using an ASUS M16 laptop with a 3070 Ti, Intel i9, and Windows 11. Recently, while gaming with friends, I noticed that the 3.5mm audio jack stopped delivering sound output,though I can still hear input like voices and sound effects through other means. Using the Xbox Game Bar, I switched between the built-in and external headset microphones and noticed that my headset connected via the 3.5mm jack is not producing any audio output I could visually see the bar not moving. However, when I tested the same headset on another device, it worked properly. Is there a

sound input via jack

I am trying to record sound from my phone via a jack to jack input to Windows 10 with RealTec Hi Def sound. I can record from a headset plugged into the jack and from the buil-in microphone. Am not able to get any recording jack to jack other than a loud
feed back sound. Is there any suggestion to solve this problem? thanks

No sound detection in audio jack Windows 10

I use Windows 10 and I am having a problem.

I have a piano that supports audio output. It worked fine with my headphones. But now, I have a problem. I thought to record my piano voice on PC with the AUX cable to reduce background noise. I installed the software required but the software did not detect any voice. As soon as I put in the AUX cable, the microphone of my laptop stops as it is a combo jack. For reference, I have earphones with a mic in them. And the input works well.

Is there problem with the software or I am using the wrong sound drivers? If any other info is required, kindly ask me.

audio jack problems

Hi,

Windows allows disabling of a certain port if you want to or if you need to. To disable a headphone or speaker audio jack, kindly follow these steps:

• Right-click the Sound or Volume icon on the lower-left side of your screen.
• Select Playback devices.
• Right-click on the playback device that you want to disable and click
  Disable.

To disable a microphone jack:

• Right-click the Sound or Volume icon on the lower-left side of your screen.
• Select Recording devices.
• Right-click on the recording device that you want to disable and click
  Disable.

Also, we recommend taking your PC to a technician for the removal of the audio jack that is stuck so that, you'll be able to use the port again.
