Windows 10: Chrome closing 2-3 seconds after opening

Whenever I try to open chrome, I instantly closes. I tried to trouble shoot it but all methods I found involved opening chrome which I obviously cannot do. Everything within chrome works fine like navigating and the browser doesn't seem to look any different from the surface, but I can't even access settings without it closing. This just happened yesterday. I did an antivirus scan, windows updates scan, corrupted files scan and most came up with no malware, updates, or corrupted files. I do have a Kaspersky browser extension on chrome however it seems like I can't turn it off unless I open chr

Chrome closes immediately upon opening (1-2 seconds max)

My Chrome browser closes immediately upon opening (1-2 seconds max), it opens up and I can see my default homepage then it automatically closes in a spilt second. I am unable to toggle the settings menu or anything before it closes. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and a system restore but with no luck. now my firefox refuses to open also and then I came across a thread saying it might be a problem with Microsoft. How do I fix this? Chrome is vital for me.

 

chrome will not open

IK reinstalled the KB and a Silverlight update, no luck. I tried to remove chrome , again, using the suggested tool. Chrome was not on the list, I selected not listed. It wanted the product code. A quick internet search did not find it. I removed chrome
using the add and remove programs.,reinstalled chrome and ran the clean up tool, no malware. chrome now opens.. I have signed in and it is working. The second removal worked. thx
