Windows 10: I accidentally locked my laptop and it is asking for a pin but the pin doesn't work

I accidentally locked my laptop from the find my device and I can't unlock it now there is no option to unlock and it is asking me for a pin from the admin and I am the admin.

Need help with laptop pin login

I accidentally locked myself out of my laptop. The only way to log in is via PIN however I forgot it. My laptop is asking me to set up a new pin because my old PIN is too old. I can’t set up a new PIN with out needing to know my old one to confirm it.

My 3 yr old has entered the pin wrong several times on my laptop and it's locked. The 2 hours don't work and there's no forgotten pin option. Can anyone help. Even in regedit there's no passwordless folder

Hi Kevin,

To resolve your concern about creating pin to your computer, we suggest that you follow these steps:

• Navigate to C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\NGC (click to get permission when prompted).
• Delete the contents of that folder (delete everything in that folder, but leave that folder and everything above it).
• Go back to settings, accounts, sign in options.
• Your non-working pin will now be gone, and you can just click 'add a pin' and set it again.
