Windows 10: BSODs are a near-daily issue

Near daily BSOD's for different reasons

The suggested fix involves doing something that, according to all notes I can find on the matter, say should not be done to a computer under use because it makes it unstable and is very resource heavy. The computer in question is my “Daily driver”. When
I'm in a position to make my primary computer unusable while I wait for something that only happens once every couple of days, I'll be sure to attempt the suggested fix. Until then I am exploring other options.

 

BSOD DPC_Watchdog_Violation daily

Those steps are not relevant to me. In those steps it asks to check the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers for iastore.sys in the listed drivers.

I do not have iastore as a driver nor is that the files causing the BSOD.

The driver that is causing it (I got this from BlueScreenView) is nvstore.sys which is listed as the driver for three identical items in 'storage controllers' There are 4 items there. 3 of them are called NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controller. Those three
all list this nvstore.sys as their driver.

I suspect that if I could replace or fix that driver it would solve the issue based on the advice given by Annanya. Does that sound right? If so, how would I go about it?

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
