i have a problem with my audio in windows 11. when i connect a usb audio interface my audio glitches it quickly changes output and my cpu shoots to 100% usage can someone help me with this by the way i also have it with bluetooth connections

Recording garbled audio from USB audio interface

Every application that I have that can record audio, now sounds like a zoom call where the connection is bad. Playback is normal.

Regardless of the program used the results are the same this seems like a driver or OS issue. I can use the same audio interface on my android phone and Linux machines and it works perfectly so the hardware is not the problem.

This began after a recent update. I am using a Behringer UCA222 USB 2.0 audio interface on an 11 month old laptop, which worked prior to one of the recent updates.

 

Problems with Audio on Windows 11

I purchased a new audio interface, the Focusrite 2i2 3rd Gen. This one connects via USB-C. My previous audio interface connected via a Firewire expansion card. I wanted to rule out the audio issues as being related to the Firewire, connection.

Unfortunately, the audio issues remain.

I did try the video that TapanHazra suggested, but so far have the same issues:

5-ish second audio dropouts that sometimes coincide with a mouse/keyboard freeze.

Sometimes instead of an audio dropout, I get a glitchy sound.

Sometimes everything comes back without issue and just starts working/playing again.

Sometimes everything goes into a slomo mode, including if I am playing a video on YouTube. The audio and video slow down to what feels like half speed.

If the issue occurs while playing a game via Steam, depending on the game, the game will crash or recover.

Because I replaced my audio hardware and removed all USB hubs and most USB accessories, save Keyboard/Mouse, and these issues didn't until I upgraded to Windows 11, I am strongly looking towards it being an audio driver issue stemming from Windows 11.

• What is the make and model of your external audio interface?
• Which routing application are you using?

The configurations of inputs and outputs on any audio interface is dependent on the hardware and its supporting software. Any audio interface with more than 2 inputs and 2 outputs, should ideally give the user an option to map the
Input and Output Config, according to his interest.



I suggest you to go through the user manual provided by your audio interface's manufacturer to know how to set up the control surface.



If it doesn't explain how to configure, I suggest you to get in touch with the audio interface's manufacturer to know how to configure the same.
