My pc bluescreens atleast once a day, usually multiple times, not to mention that the majority of games I play, especially those that use unreal engine, crash very often. My specs are:GPU: rtx 3090 w/ 24gigsCPU: Intel i9 1190kRam: 64 gigs Motherboard: Z590 AORUS PRO AXWindows Version: 10.0.22621 Build: 22621

  2. Getting BSOD 0x124 error

    Ignore what everone said here.

0x124 BSOD is usually related to VCCIO (VTT), run Prime95 version 26.6 with custom sizes of 512K to 640K with 50% of your memory for at least 8 hours.

If you get a 0x124 BSOD, increase VCCIO voltage by small steps, run Prime95 again until your stable.

If you pass Prime95 512K to 640K without a BSOD, then its Vcore too low. I'd suggest running IntelBurnTest with 80% of your memory to verify stability (8 to 12 hours).

Oh, and yeah, if this problem appeared all of the sudden, the reason is CPU degradation, you can prevent it by enabling C-States or adjust your overclock to use lower voltages.

  3. Moose Win User
    4850 BSOD the usual

My 4850 merrily BSODs about once every 2 days it especially enjoys doing it when I'm playing a game, and then after the reboot it sometimes throws in another BSOD for good measure, with a few visual glitches at bootup, if it's in that sort of mood.

It used to be more frequent (I had the pleasure of seeing my game disappear 2x a day) but I lowered my CPU voltage to normal and that seemed to improve things.

Btw the card isn't behaving like a 4850 the rest of the time either Overdrive claims it has a clock speed of 0MHz whereas ATi tool insists that it is 65,000MHz, also DXDiag says that it has 2GB of Graphics memory and DirectX 10 (instead of 10.1), and also claims my computer has 3.3GB of RAM. Not to mention the fact that furmark gives it a repulsively low score.

Any suggestions, apart from reinstalling windows?

    windows 10 key

Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?
