Windows 10: My pcs storage to taken up by a Very big temp file, what should i do

im textin' this from Hiren's Boot cd cuz my windows install is so full it wont boot anymore, so heres the story: i was just chillin playin gta san andreas yk and then the game lags and crashes, then i go in explorer only to be greeted with a red storage bar, i open wiztree and it was a very big temp file, after closing the chrome window my windows just crashes, now im hbcd what should i do can i delete the file?

Windows Temporary files are created by the operating system during the normal course of its running when there may not be enough memory allocated for the task.

I suggest you to follow the steps below to delete temporary files nad check if it helps:

Step 1

• Press Windows key + R
• Type temp and click OK
• Press Ctrl + A and click Delete

Step 2

• Press Windows key + R
• Type %temp% and click OK
• Press Ctrl + A and click Delete

Step 3

• Press Windows key + R
• Type prefetch and click OK
• Press Ctrl + A and click Delete

Hi i have Lumia 520 i have a problem in deleting temp files.when i go to phone storage and check it is showing 2.31gb of data in temp files if i try to delete that it is displaying message that deleting temp files but data is still there.please suggest

Follow these steps to remove excess Temp Files:

1. Press Windows key + i to open settings.

2.Select System > Storage and then scroll down the list and choose Temporary files.

3. delete temp files by clicking "Remove Files" just be careful on downloaded files.
