Windows 10: Wifi Driver Bluescreen Problems.

Hello there.For a while now I've been using a wifi card for internet access on my PC. It is connected to the PCIe slot.However, recently the wifi driver has been causing bluescreens. Its usually SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED with ndis.sys to blame. It then crashes a few seconds after start up.I have managed to fix this twice - once using sfc /scannow and once by unistalling the intel wifi driver and reinstalling it.However, since this has happened twice now, I want to see if anyone has any reasonable cause as to why? Nothing has changed hardware wise nor driver/software wise. Its almost

wifi issues

ok so i'm getting these bluescreens every once and awhile now, ever since i put in a new airlink usb wifi adapter thingy.

sorry for the quality, its my pda's camera....

i'm thinking its the wifi usb dongle thats causing the problems. it tends to get a bit warm, and when the system bluescreens, the blue status light on it turns off.

any suggestions on how to remedy this? its starting to get irritating when i have to do big downloads, and it bluescreens.

Wifi and browser problems with windows 10


I'll tell you how I fixed an identical problem on a ASUS laptop that had run perfectly on Windows 7 and ran well on W10 from January until the Anniversary update in early August. I tried everything I found on this forum and two others. Nothing worked. The last thing someone suggested was disabling the adapter and using a WiFi dongle. Problem continued. Nobody suggested changing the wireless network adapter. I bought and installed an Intel 7260 WiFi card and just used the driver which was downloaded on the reboot after the install. All problems solved!!

I must have wasted two months reading and trying everything. Even the manufacturer support inferred I needed a new machine though they sent me a Windows 8.1 driver to try, with the same result.

I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer to determine if they white list any cards and see if they have suggestions for a compatible card. They may want you to buy another laptop but if the cards aren't white listed, a simple card swap to one compatible with Windows 10 seems to be the answer.

I may have found what could be your problem Here is the ram tested by MSI for your board and processor MPG Z690 CARBON WIFI Your ram as far as I can see is NOT on that list Although you do NOT have to use ram on the list, these boards and others are very ram particular and not only must the speed and latency and timings be correct but the layout of the chips on the ram sticks must also be correct. I suggest you contact GSkill having verified the ram you have is NOT on the list tell them of your problem and see if you can RMA that ram for exchange of 5200 ram ON the list NOTE the link will not stay on the ram compatibility - on the site click compatibility on the left of the screen and then click ram
