Windows 10: Window 7 toshiba satellite

Hi I have an old Toshiba satellite laptop and did some driver updates which as led to my laptop goung straight to a blue screen with File:\Boot\BCD error code 0xc000014c have put in windows 7 recovery disc and not doing anything is my laptop destined to the bin

How to get into safe mode on Toshiba satellite

Does anyone know how to get into safe mode on a toshiba satellite. Black/blue screen with solid cursor after creator update fail. F8 is disabled by default in windows 10, so please do not suggest anything that requires win 10 to be working.

 

Toshiba Satellite DVD disappeared

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop that I recently noticed had the DVD?CDRW disappear after letting it upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7.

The laptop has an AMD processor. have tried all the suggestions of doing register edit tweaks to recover the DVD/CD, but none worked.

So now after having Windows 10 on the laptop for more than a year, is there a positive way to recover the DVD/CD? Or can I still go back to Windows 7

OK, so it's not browser-specific, but it seems to happen only when you are downloading. That suggests it's related to your Wi-Fi driver, as it was for this thread....

According to Toshiba support you may have either Realtec or Atheros wireless. Which do you have? The latest drivers they list for your model are Win 8.1 for both types. If you put your serial number in here it should tell you the specific type appropriate for your machine.

You may be able to use the Win 8.1 drivers.

You may have had had a driver update recently, it may be that rolling back to the previous driver will help.

My Toshiba L750-16L has Atheros Wi-Fi and works perfectly with the Microsoft-supplied driver.
