Windows 10: How to fix onenote and surface pen touch issues

I am on windows 11 and am using onenote, and whenever I use my Microsoft surface pen to write or erase, randomly if I touch the screen afterwith my hand, it will act like a surface pen. Sometimes it will work as if I am using ink, and sometimes it works as if I am using the lasso tool and pressing down the button on my surface pen. I have the "draw with touch or mouse" option off. I am on onenote for windows 10as this version runs better in my experience due to it not loading all my notebooks at once, and am on the Surface Pro 8 and using the slim pen.This issue has only been occurring tod

Pen and Onenote

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



When you are using pen, you can set the device to ignore the touch, to make the changes you can follow the steps below.



1. May I know, if you are using OneNote App from Store or OneNote that comes with Microsoft Office and Outlook?

2. If you are using Microsoft Office and Outlook, May I know which version of it is?



Method 1:
Ignore touch input when I’m using my pen.



Navigate to Settings > Devices > Pen & Windows Ink.

From the Right pane under Pen, check
Ignore touch input when I’m using my pen.



Method 2: Turn Touch Mode on or off.
