Windows 10: How do I get a licensed version of windows to repair my laptop without paying for a new...

Error code: 0xc0000034The device only boots to this screen. All resolutions state to create a bootable iso to reimage the machine. I believe the OS was windows 11 my daughter's laptop; however per the resolution there has to be a valid license. My license is on the laptop that now doesn't boot. why won't windows launch after install new MB and CPU?

To repair windows properly-

• Boot into install CD for XP (if you don't have one, go buy it. For the repair to work, it has to coincide with the version of XP you have).
• Act as if you're going to install Windows, press "install windows", agree to license.
• Wait for it to detect all previous installations of Windows. It will then ask if you would like to repair any of them.
• Select the partition you want to repair, and then go play firsbee...or whatever you do for fun.

Changing the motherboard would invalidate the free upgrade.

It depends on how Windows 10 was originally configured on your computer.

If its a full retail store bought license online or offline, it is transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

If its the free upgrade from a retail store bought Windows 7 or Windows 8 license, it is transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

If its the free upgrade from a OEM preinstalled Windows 7 or Windows 8 license, it is NOT transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

Transferring Pro License to New Laptop

The Activation troubleshooter doesn't seem to allow me to transfer my Pro license from my old laptop to my new (even though the license is shown in my Microsoft account, and I can select it). When buying a new machine, are we FORCED to use the crappy pre-installed
Home Signature version it came with? I'm not paying for a Pro version AGAIN - I want to use the one I bought, on just my one new laptop. Help?

One additional comment: The old laptop is going to have Linux Mint installed on it - and the new one is too, if I can't get my license fixed for Pro.
