Windows 10: Unable to complete upgrade from Windows 11 23H2 to 24H2 - error message 0xC1900101-0x40017

Despite numerous attempts, I am unable to upgrade to Windows 11 version 24H2 from 23H2. I tried to use all three means suggested by Microsoft, i.e., Installation Assistant, Installation media using MCT and Windows 11 ISO image, to no avail. All my drivers are up to date. I have no NVideo video or other specialised equipment drivers. The machine is standalone and is not docked or have any external equipment attached. Disk/SSD space is plentiful. Windows 10 Update Error 0xC1900101 - 0x40017

I got rid of all my virus protection and I tried again, but now I have windows defender on there (built into Windows 10) I don't even know how it works on windows 7. I cant get rid of it and I tried installing windows 10 again, but no use.
