Problem with "Documents" and "Photos" After Move

After advice from Rodrigo Queiros at https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_11-files/moving-my-documents-folder-to-new-volume-oddity/c28a89fd-3b1c-4ff1-a091-7af14ff006fb?rtAction=1749409107675I, I corrected my error and correctly moved my Documents folder and Pictures and Videos as he recommended. Now, however, I have a new problem with the populated folders that I don't understand:I copied all of the Documents and Pictures folders and contents from my old Windows 10 computer to the new E:\username\Documents, etc.,&nbs

    :)

  3. how to save scanned photos and documents to computer

    Hi,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community. Your interest in Windows 10 is much appreciated.

I suggest you to follow the below steps to give permission for entire system, so that you can save the files in photos and documents.

    • Right click on the folder and click on properties.
    • Click on security tab and select the group\user name.
    • Click on edit option and check the option full control.
    • Click on apply and then on ok button.
Now you can try saving the file in photos and documents and check if the issue persists.

Hope this information was helpful and do let us know if you need further assistance. We will be glad to assist.

  4. Problem with "Documents" and "Photos" After Move

    Problems organizing photos.

A bit of background first, I'm 84 yrs old, and to be honest, I am getting more stupid every day. An aside, getting older does make working with your mind harder, okay at least I find that to be true!~

I have "Photos" in Pictures, Documents, Canon picture, Photo Room, some in all but others in just one place. place.

So my problem to start.: I have several photos on my "documents" but not in my "Pictures" I'd like to clean out documents of photos and just have them all in my Pictures. If I got that far, I'd take the next step but for me that may already be a Bridge too far.
