    Windows 10 update wipes out and resets EVERYTHING!!!!


    In the time it took for me to set aside my laptop in between Netflix episodes last night, and have glorious sex with my girlfriend, Windows 10 took it upon itself to install an update without permission in a last ditch and yet another pathetic attempt to get me to accept Windows 11, and literally overwrote my entire system!! ALL previous user information gone! My previous username exists as an empty folder. ALL Outlook *.pst files, gone! YEEEEAAAAAARS of emails!!! All Favourites, gone!. All documents saved in the User documents folder, Gone!! All settings, gone!! It is precisely the same a

    I suggest creating a backup image of your os drive

    When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

    Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

    I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.
