Windows 10: 22h2 black screen

I recently tried updating to windows 22h2 on my new laptop, but when it gets to about 21% it boots into a black screen and only the mouse cursor works, keyboard is completely unresponsive and resetting it just leads to an infinite loading cycle on the Asus boot screen. This is the second time ive had this issue as I've been able to backtrack the uodate to 21h2. I just want windows to update properly so it will shut up about it but the update is broken. I don't know what to do, it started happening when windows hijacked my graphics card update with 22h2.
