Windows 10: Information leaking on the lock screen

Hi! I can't find another good way to report bugs so I'll do it here. The other day when I returned to my computer, a block of text white on black appeared at the top left corner of the lock screen. I later realized that it was an excel formula from a sheet I use some times. I can't recollect that I had copied this specific formula on that day, so this text should not have been e.g. in my clipboard and I have clipboard history set to off, but it is possible the document was open. I'm reporting this as a security and privacy issue since the text could equally have been of sensitive nature.

Lock Screen Image Too Big

• Is this issue occurs only when the pictures are set from OneDrive?

I suggest you to set the picture for the lock screen using the default lock screen pictures and check whether the issue persist or not, follow the below steps to set the pictures.

• Go to “settings” and click on “personalization”.
• Under “lock screen” tab, select the option from the drop box as “picture”.
• Then under “choose your picture” option, click on any picture and go to the lock screen, check whether the issue persists or not.

E72 software v52.005 Leaks Information even when Locked

Nokia E72 with the newest firmware software v52.005 leaks information even when it is locked with the Lock Code.



Namely, the missed call/text message notification on the home screen reveals the full details of the caller/sender even when the phone is locked with the Lock Code.



By Comparison the firmware software v500.21.009 for the previous model, the Nokia E71, does not reveal the details of the caller/sender when the phone is locked. Only the message count is revealed without the Lock Code on E71 with this firmware.



Revealing this information on E72 is a violation of user's privacy. Imagine your jealous girfriend having a fit because she saw that your ex-girfriend has sent you a message despite that the phone was locked!

 

No Lock screen in Windows 10.

• When you say that "rolling slideshow ", what exactly are you referring to?
• When you say that "I can't activate it again.", are you referring that you are not able to Activate Windows 10?
• What are the troubleshooting steps which you have performed to resolve the issue?

I suggest you to follow the steps below to set the lock screen pictures.

1. Right click on Desktop screen.

2. Then click on Personalize.

3. Click on Lock Screen.

4. Try to select the lock screen picture.
