    Hi, I’m experiencing an issue with my Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 where the screen brightness frequently adjusts on its own. For example, when watching YouTube, the brightness changes with every new scene—brightening or dimming depending on the video's lighting. I would love to disable this feature, but I haven't found any relevant solutions online, likely due to the type of GPU my device has: QualcommR AdrenoTM X1-85 GPU. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Windows 10 laptop changes brightness depending on the screen contents

    I have a Dell XPS 13 (9350) running Windows 10 and I can't seem to disable the automatic brightness changing depending on what's on the screen. If the screen is primarily light the brightness will go up, and when it's primarily dark it'll dim. I'm having the same issue as outlined in these posts:


    but none of the solutions given worked for me. In my Intel HD Graphics control panel there is no "Display Power Saving Technology" option, nor are there "On Battery" or "Plugged In" tabs in the power section. This problem persists on both battery and AC.

    I am willing to reinstall drivers but I am not willing to reinstall Windows. I am also familiar with the command prompt and registry editor.

    Hi all,

    I'm using Windows 10 on a HP Elitebook x360 1040 G8. When the display of my laptop faces a bright light (e.g. sun, lamp, ...), the colors of the screen automatically change (they become more white, i.e. kind of like an over exposed image). In a dark room or if I cover the sensor on the dispay, the colors become normal again. How can I disable this feature?

    Btw, I'm not talking about the automatic screen brightness change depending on the room lighting. I know where to turn this on/off.
