    Developing a Microsoft Notepad looking app


    I am a student and I decided to develop an app that is identical to Microsoft Notepad for academic purposes not from university, just my decision to get to know how to develop a desktop app. My app looks almost 100% like Microsoft Notepad and has the same functionality. Is it legal? Should I write somewhere in program that the UI and functionality is not mine? 100% of the code is written by me, so it is not a copy, it is something like replica. I am using C++ and Qt if that is necessary.

    The issue is a bit confusing. Please elaborate on how you will be needing assistance from Microsoft.

    • Who is the App developer for Notepad in iPhone?
    • How are you trying to associate Outlook.com account with the Notepad App?
    • Did you try contacting the Notepad App developer regarding the sync issue?

    If not, I suggest you to contact the developer and let us know regarding the results.

    I am looking for a lower to mid range PC which will be used in Development such as Android App development, java, DB and other related task, NO GAMING at all suggest some proper PC.

    I would like to ask if the Notepad App was downloaded from Windows Store or any other third party website.

    If it was downloaded from Windows Store, then suggest you to run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter by following the steps provided below:

    • Type “Troubleshooting” in search box and press Enter.
    • Click on View all on top left pane.
    • Select “Windows Store Apps” from the list and follow the prompts for troubleshooting.

    If it was downloaded from a third party website, then suggest you to contact the app developer for assistance regarding the issue.
