    Constant Reboots on my laptop from a bugcheck how do I fix it?

    It's been a little under a year since I've gotten my laptop, everything was fine until a month or two ago where the blackouts started happing. My laptop would suddenly go black and the audio would become very cursed and distorted, happens while watching youtube vidoes, and sbiscally any game like those on steam. I recently did a windows reset getting rid of my files and apps about a day ago and I thought that would help problem but it only solved nothing this is my last ditch effort to get rid of my stress. I've done the know commands in CMD like sfc, DISM Scanhealth and the RestoreHealth. I'v

  2. System Reboot for Bugcheck 0x00000124

    Hi Guys,

    I recently purchased a MSI laptop (GT72VR 6RE), and upgraded Win 10 version from Home to Pro. Performed the upgrade as soon as I fired up the laptop for the first time.

    Last couple of weeks, while working on Google Drive (via Chrome) the computer will suddently lock up, and after couple of seconds reboot.

    Checking Event Viewer, it shows the following events:
    Constant Reboots on my laptop from a bugcheck how do I fix it? [IMG]

    Details for the listed events in sequence:
    • The previous system shutdown at 4:48:27 PM on ‎5/‎09/‎2016 was unexpected.
    • The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
    • Audit events have been dropped by the transport. 0
    • The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ACPI\ENE0110\5&14353508&0.
    • A corrected hardware error has occurred.
      Constant Reboots on my laptop from a bugcheck how do I fix it? [IMG]
    • A corrected hardware error has occurred. (same as above)
    • The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000124 (0x0000000000000000, 0xffffe0002c0c2028, 0x00000000be000000, 0x0000000000800400).

    It has happened twice so far and that has me bit worried.
    Previous one had the following bugcheck error:
    • The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000001e (0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffff800765cd8b8, 0x0000000000000000, 0x00000000000000a0).

    Would really appreciate if someone can point out anything.

    It is a brand new laptop (couple of weeks old). And both the times when it crashed, I was using Chrome (google drive, or writing email etc), wasn't playing games. The CPU/GPU isn't overclocked either.

    Thanks in advance.

  3. Constant BSOD/auto-reboot from BugCheck: asmthub3.sys

    Hi, I am experiencing constant rebooting due to a BugCheck error in the Event Viewer. Here's the output:

    The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000000d1 (0x0000000000000078, 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000001, 0xfffff8067ca5934d). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: ccf578a2-7fbf-49e4-b2b9-7d452eb76e54.

    When running BlueScreenView, I see the offending driver as asmthub3.sys and ntoskrnl.exe.

    Here is the relevant Minidump file:

    Dropbox - Error - Simplify your life

    I have conducted memory checks and sfc /scannow with no results.

    Any ideas for where to look?

    Constant Reboots on my laptop from a bugcheck how do I fix it?

    Windows 10 2004 causing constant bugchecks (BSODs)

    On the 19th of August I was prompted for a new feature updated to Windows 10, version 2004.

    The update was successful however, after 5 minutes in the new version, Windows started crashing with 0x0000003b or 0x0000001a error codes.
    I tried checking for further updates but these kept on failing to download or install. At this point I started investigating the issue but soon found out that I had lost my Admin rights, so couldn't open Device Manager, Event Viewer, or any other system
    windows. When opening these applications I would get a User Account Control window with "An administrator has blocked you from running this app.". In the same window you could see the publisher being "Unknown".

    I tried running chkdsk, dfs and dism commands but caused more BSODs. After 2 failed attempts, I finally rolled back to previous Windows version, but still didn't have admin rights. After extensive reading on the internet (almost a week of it), the most common
    approach was to start from a clean installation of Windows. So I followed the suggestions.

    After a complete pc clean up and reinstallation, we are back to constant applications crashing and BSODs. I have installed latest graphics drivers (running NVIDIA).Below are some of the things I have observed:

    • Everytime an application, such as Firefox, Edge, VS Code, etc crashes, I noticed the following message in the event viewer:
    Code:
    Failed with 0x57 retrieving AppModel Runtime status for package Windows.
    • Just before VS Code crashed I noticed the UI, text and icons, getting blurry and drawn with bigger and bigger pixels. The browsers crashed sporadically when on YouTube, so I thought it might be related to a graphics. So I tried to trigger a crash by loading
      a video game, but that caused a crash only once, out of three attempts.
    • All BSODs, or Bug Checks, failed with one of the following:
    Code:
    The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was:
    [b]0x0000001a[/b] (0x0000000000041792, 0xfffff4811eb931b0, 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: d2a43aee-73d6-48c1-93b9-af026ca1f280.The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was:

    • Search functionality in the start menu has crashed the machine twice;
    • Opening Powershell once caused a bug check;
    • Opening the Action Centre caused a bug check;
    • Plugging in a usb external harddisk caused a bug check (just my backed-up photos on it, no executables);
    • A few further updates, such as Security Intelligence definitions, took a few attempts before successfully installing.

    System details:

    • Processor: Intel i5-6600K
    • RAM: 16GB
    • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
    • Windows Version: 2004
    • OS Build 19041.508
    • Experience: Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.31.0

    Could you please help me with this and suggest my next steps. Also, let me know if you would like further information.

    I'm starting to get frustrated now as I haven't been able to use my PC reliably for almost a month. This has been getting in the way of my work as I'm currently working from home, so I'm hoping to getting it fixed as soon as possible.

    Thank you very much for you help.

    Stephen
