File Properties in File Explorer Shows EVERYTHING as read only

Ok so in other posts MS admits that Windows 11 is the problem, a display problem, big surprise there. So how do I know what the protection property of my files and folders really is since MS can't seem to provide a product that is both usefull and free of BASIC ERRORS. I supose there is some 20 step process I go through to determine what MS cannot or just doesn't want to provide. All I want to know is Are My Files and Folders Read Only REALLY. 2. recent files won't show up in file explorer

    Hi Anne,

Files in your computer including pictures sometimes have permissions before you can change anything to it. This feature was made for security and privacy purposes for the specific user registered on your computer. If you have the
Administrator Account, you can have the full control of the settings of your computer. We suggest to log-in this account so you will be able to
Read your file. To allow reading in file permissions, follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows + E, to open File Explorer.
    • Right-click the file, then select Properties.
    • Click the Security tab to access the permissions.
    • Click Edit.
    • Check all the Full control, Modify, Read & execute, Read and Write.
    • Click OK to finish.
