Windows 10: Assistance Required – DFS Replication: Conflict and Deleted Folder Accumulation

Hi Windows Community,We are experiencing issues with Windows DFS Replication. A large number of files have accumulated in the "Conflict and Deleted" folder, and we are unable to delete them.So far, we have attempted the following:Reduced the staging and conflict/deleted quotaRestarted the DFS Replication serviceTried to manually delete the files from the conflict and deleted folderUnfortunately, none of these steps have resolved the issue, and the C: drive continues to run out of space.Any guidance or best practices to clean up or manage the conflict and deleted folder would be highly apprecia

Move DFS Conflict and Deleted Items folder

Does anyone know how to move the DFS conflict and deleted items folder ?

I have the staging folder in the place I want, I would also like to move the Conflict and deleted items folder.

As well, why would DFS not update the replicated folders ? It is reporting it had updated them, but the folders are NOT updated.

I have users on one of the DFS shares changing folder names. The new folder names show up, but the old ones stay.

Suggestions ?

 

Conflict & Delete folder for DFS (DfsrPrivate\ConflictandDeleted)

Continuously DFS is giving issue for one link, every time data are not getting in sync for one folder other folder data working fine.

Whenever we see such issue DFS conflict & Delete folder is start storing those files in there, i understand that this is the MS feature which help to not loose conflict data but ideally there is no conflict but this is keep on happening.

Please suggest, thanks in advance.

DFS Replication

I have 2 servers with DFS Replication only enabled. Unknown to me when one of the servers failed (couple of months?) but I noticed today that DFS was displaying a message that the connection was no longer replicating--both ends showing disabled. I re-enable
both sides and the topology test now passes. My question is, will all changes which occurred while they were disabled now "catch up" ? Also, did DFS automatically disable them because one side was down for too long ? I made a change to a test text file
and it did replicate but not sure about files which changed during the server down time.
