Windows 10: Error 0x80070003 - 0x40008 after Moving EFI Partition

Dear Microsoft Support,I did move my system from one SSD to another, after that I cannot Update Windows 11 anymore and also there is no way I can start an Inplace Upgrade with the most recent Windows 11 ISO.I do have the EFI-Partition as FAT32 with 1,0 GB on my System Drive, but most likely because I did clone it over from another physical SSD drive, Windows is unable to find it properly, even tough Windows 11 is booting and running perfectly normal. I was unable to find a solution online.I feel like my issues needs to be resolved very similarly to this question, just that I do have an EFI-Par

Move EFI partition

its to enable win 10 to update to its anniversary edition.. it cant do this due to lack of C drive space i have had a quick try with the trial version of easus.. it didnt seem to be able to do what i want..

i am assuming i cant just delete the efi partition but maybe i could.. as yet i havnt even figured out how to get into the bios of the thing.. maybe that should be my next step.. *Smile

diskpart could probably do it but figuring out how (it aint that user friendly) might be difficult without step by step instructions..

Move EFI partition

i have a dual boot (win 10 and android tablet) it only has a 32 gig system drive with a 16 gig partition for win 10..

the 16 gig is not enough for windows updates.. i dont need or use android so i have deleted all the android partitions.. so far so good i have another 10 gigs of space on the system drive..

i created a new volume which shows up as drive D.. my idea was to merge the two partitions giving me more C drive space for win 10 so as to enable enough upgrade space..

the pic below should show my problem.. i cant merge the two partitions because there is a system EFI file in between them.. *Smile

does anyone know how to move the EFI partition.. cos as yet i dont.. he he





google shows me other people wanting to do the same thing but no answers.. or at least none i can make much sense of.. *Smile

Non-destructively Moving / recreating EFI partition

Hello - this is similar to Moving / recreating EFI partition but it was suggested I post the specifics of my question so that the responses can be relevant and clear. I have a few internal SSDs, 2 are relevant. - my system drive is a 1TB drive that I upgraded some time ago and it turns out that I did it wrong - the EFI partition resides on the old 250gb SSD which I repurposed as a storage drive. So the system won't boot without that 250GB drive present, and I'm wanting to upsize that with a new drive. - So I need to create an EFI partition on my existing 1TB drive without destroying anything. The instructions re fairly clear in the post mentioned above, but I want to be absolutely sure what I'm doing as I'd really like to avoid restoring from backup (I do have an image created by Macrium reflect and a Backblaze backup so I'm safe) I get to the step where I'm listing partition in order to select the Windows partition (4th/5th steps in Kyhi's post) and I get the following Size Offset Partition 1 Reserved 16MB 1024KB Partition 2 Primary 930GB 17MB Partition 3 Recovery 612MB 930GB And this confuses me because I assume I'm selecting Partition 2 here but in the next step we're shrinking that partition to 100MB, and this is most likely because I don't understand fully how Windows partitioning works but I just wanted to be sure at this stage that this is the correct thing to do ("select partition 2" then "shrink desired=100") If anyone can help here to clarify / allay my fears I would be grateful!
