    I learned that this is supposed to open Copilot app. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/alt-spacebar-launches-copilot-i-dont-want-that-i/597bbaf0-f4d8-4fd5-9028-cbfcf18fdf3dI don't even have Copilot. Alt+space opens a webpage in a browser. How do I get rid of it? It's insane! I was using alt+space shortcut for my own stuff way before this. Now both actions are invoked. yuck!

    • Did you make any software or hardware changes on your computer prior to this issue?


    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

    Step 1: You may check if the ALT key is functioning correctly in on-screen keyboard. It will help us to verify if there is any issue with the keyboard.

    Follow the steps below to open On-screen Keyboard.


    • Windows + Q, type OSK (on-screen keyboard)

    • And check if it works
    Step 2: Run Hardware and device Troubleshooter.

    Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your devices. Refer these steps:


    • Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.

    • Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.

    • Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.

    I would like to inform you that presently you may change the default keyboard layout by pressing
    Windows key + space and I would like to inform you that it is not possible to change the keyboard shortcut for the keyboard layout.

    • If you would like to create shortcut for the applications, please follow the below steps:
    • Right click on the application and select properties.
    • Enter a key combination in the Shortcut key field. The combination must be CTRL + ALT + a letter / number.
