Windows 10: CIS benchmarks blocks enabling windows firewall in local group policy using powershell command.

Hello Team, I have applied CIS benchmarks on Windows 10 21H2 for hardening. After that i am unable to enable windows firewall in Local group policy using powershell command Set-Netfirewallprofile -enabled True -policystore LocalHost.Some benchmarks settings are disabling the powershell execution, please guide me in finding the correct setting to make powershell command execute. Windows firewall is enabled but not reflected on the local group policy editor

I have been auditing using powershell on a vm for a school project using the CIS windows 11 benchmark. However, the firewall settings never seem to be reflected under the gpedit.msc. Currently, it shows all is not configured. I have been trying a few methods, one of which is changing registry values. Is there a seperate space for values or is it set but just not reflected.

 

How to read and fetch data from secpol.msc(local security policy) ---> windows defender firewall with advanced security values in command prompt

We are working on Windows OS hardening as per CIS Benchmark rules .

We are using Windows server 2019 EC2 Instance.

We want to fetch the data of windows defender firewall with advanced security of local security policy(secpol.msc).

We are using below command to fetch the data in command prompt of our EC2 instance:

netsh advfirewall show allprofiles

But command prompt is unable to fetch any latest changed data as we are changing values of windows defender firewall with advanced security as per our hardening rules .

Can anyone please suggest us the right command to fetch the updated data of windows defender firewall with advanced security section of local security policy(secpol.msc) of windows server 2019 EC2 instance .
