Windows 10: Windows 11 24H2 file explorer missing quick access files in the file list pane

I have recently upgraded to Win 11 24H2 and have stumbled straight into the "missing quick access in the file list" - issue.You will see images below showing two views - one from file explorer and one from the file dialogue in Word.For File Explorer, it lists only the first item which appears under the Home item in the navigation box. The file dialogue in Word is fine. That is complete and should File Explorer show the same items, I would be a happy person.I have check all the options and settings as best I can; indeed my options dialogues don't contain those "magic options" which turn on the

you get the idea. ( too lazy to put it in a for loop and test it.

or just open regedit and remove all the fileX from that key.

 

After a Windows 11 Update the Quick Access List in File explorer is missing

After a Windows Update the Quick Access List in File explorer and within Windows File save as etc is missing.

If I go into File Explorer and Folder Options the drop down list no longer includes Quick Access

 

File Explorer/Quick Access

I recently started having a problem with File Explorer and Quick Access. When I start my computer, all works fine but then gradually the files as listed in File Explorer and Quick Access start to disappear and soon there are none present. I need to
restart and again they are there but also again they start to disappear. Has anyone else had this problem and any suggestion to correct? Thanks/
