Windows 10: Volume stuck at zero ONLY when headphones are connected

I have wireless samsung earbuds and I just received a windows computer. When there is nothing connected, the audio works fine, however when earbuds are connected, services like Youtube freeze and are unable to be unfrozen without restarting the computer. Additionaly, the volume slider will not stay at anything other than zero. When I click anywhere else on the menu it moves back to zero. I need help. :

Headphone Volume?

On my Lumia 635, the volume works fine. Until I plug in my headphones. Once my headphones are in, it doesn't let me turn the volume up from zero. I can turn it up, but it will instantly go back down to zero. Help?

volume automatically lowers to zero

An intermittent problem on my NL920: When listening with headphones, I press the power button to wake the screen and then press the volume down or up button to slightly adjust the volume. Periodically, the phone will automatically drop the volume to zero.
I press the volume up button to raise the volume a few notches but it goes back down to zero. To fix this, I have to relock the screen and come back or stop the music playing entirely and come back to it. Or sometimes pressing volume up about 20 times it finally
takes. I think this only happens with headphones.
