Windows 10: Word documents not displaying in File Explorer Preview Pane Office 365 + Windows 10

On my Windows 10 system, I’m using Microsoft 365 installed from Microsoft Store. When enabling the Preview Pane in File Explorer Alt + P, Word documents .docx do not show a preview. The pane appears blank or only clickable in the center, and no document content is displayed.What I’ve tried so far:Enabled Preview Pane via Explorer toolbarChecked default app settings Word is set to open .docxEdited the Registry to add/re-add the correct Word preview handler {84F66100-FF7C-4fb4-B0C0-02CD7FB668FE}Verified keys under:HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.docx\ShellEx\{8895b1c6-b41f-4c1c-a562-0d564250836f}HK

Preview Pane in File Explorer not displaying word document file previews

I have tried all the suggestions in the OP.

[table][tr]I ran Office Quick repair.I ran Office On-Line repair.I have uninstalled and then installed office.I used the Office tool to uninstall and remove all traces.I did the thumbnail check box.I confirmed the registry entry : %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCacheI added the folder INetCacheContent.Word[/tr][/table]

None of these steps resolved the problem except running an Online repair of "Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise" this allows me to see a preview of word doc files in File Explorer except when I reboot the previews no longer work again. What could possibly be "resetting" at reboot that causes the previews not to show up after rebooting?

I am able to view previews of other office program file types in the preview pane without performing a repair, just not word docs.

Cannot view Office 365 program documents in File explorer preview pane

My office 356 documents such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint will not display in the file explorer preview pane.

I have checked the setting and tried various fixes touted online and on youtube, but I still cannot get these files to preview in file explorer.

I can preview pdf files, pictures and graphics but anything to do with my Office 365 work programs will not preview.

Literally, nothing appears but if I highlight the file for some time then a message appears saying "This file can't be previewed". This has been going on for a few weeks and I am now able to take time to look into the issue.

This is a feature that I rely on and it is currently driving me nuts not having a solution.

Please, if anyone has a solution or resolution I would be most grateful.
