Windows 10: A shortcut virus keeps appearing in my Work Computer network and it can't get removed

My work computer's network has been infected by a shortcut virus that only appears on shared folder. I have to use Imagebam since my photo can't be uploaded directly here for no reason. every files that shared via network will get infected in scheduled basis. no matter how many tiems i deleted the files sef468we54rer, it will always appear again. and no antivirus or windows defender kan detect this virus, except bitdefender. Computers Vanished From File Explorer But Network Still Works

I agree with @Try3. I have tried every suggested method to fix Windows networking suggested on these forums. All at best only worked for a short time. The only things that helped was:

1. Batch file I suggested in an earlier post
2. Creating shortcuts to computers on my home network

Note these two things are not fixes but workaround. However, at least they help and have never failed. I have shortcuts set up for eight computers on my home network. I have created a folder on my desktop called My Network to hold the shortcuts. They have a mix of the following operating systems:

• Windows 10 - 4
• Windows 7 - 3
• Windows XP - 1

 

SHORTCUT VIRUS

Is this about the shortcut virus, everything converts to shortcuts, all files and folders on pen drive converts to shortcuts?

If so, this might work to remove it from the pen drive,

1. Open the command prompt,
   

Press Windows+R to open " Run " box. Type " cmd " and then click " OK " to open

1. Open My Computer and find the drive letter of your removable drive.
   

(Assumption: my drive letter is H)

1. In the Command Prompt, type " H:\ " and hit Enter.
   

(Replace H with your removable drive letter.)

1. Type " attrib –s –h –r /s /d *.* " and Hit Enter.
   

or, download and run shortutvirusremover, which does the same thing, remove the shortcut virus from pen drives.

To remove shortcut virus from a PC, I recommend using a bootable virus scanner. Normally it's called antivirus rescue disk, and here you can find a list of them.
