  1. No Ethernet Connection after Upgrading from Win 10 22h2 Home to Win11 24h2 Home

Hello,A week ago I build a new PC because my old one was not compatible with Windows 11. I connected the Hard Disks from my old PC to the new one and successfully bootet Win10. At this point Ethernet connection was not a problem. I convertet the Drives partition table from MBR to GPT with WinRE and used the Win11 Installation Assistant. After Upgrading to Win11 24h2 I recognized that I had no Ethernet Connection. I checked the cable used another one, checked BIOS if my Realtek Network Adapter was enabled. It was enabled did not changed after the OS Upgrade. Installed the newest driver on R

After Win 10 upgrade no eternet connection

After upgrading my Inspiron 1545 from 7 Pro to Win 10 Pro, I do have a wirless connection, but no ethernet connection.....I have followed all the trouble shooting that Windows suggests but still no ethernet connection. It says No IpV4 or IPV6 connection. The drivers for the network card say it is operating , and drivers are up to date. I have 11 computers and decided to try 10 on my old Inspiron. Anybody have any suggestions ???

Switching from Win 10 to Win 11

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be getting new MB and CPU when I move to Win11. And I always do system volume image backups after I successfully update Windows so no problem there *Smile. Cheers!

Switching from Win 10 to Win 11

I suggest you do a drive image backup of your current win 10 drive. I had some issues with Win 11 and I roll back using the Win10 image. As you don't have a Win 11 supported CPU, you have to tweak the Win 11 installation files.
