Windows 10: ASUS Zenbook 14 no audio from headphones

I just received the Zenbook 14 and it was working great, the audio was playing through the speakers and everything was fine. When I went to plug in a pair of headphones into the jack however, all audio suddenly cut off and when I went to check the output device, nothing would show up for the audio output device. Even after unplugging my headphones, there would continue to be no audio playing through any devices.

Sound doesn't work on Asus Zenbook 14

Hey, I recently got the Asus Zenbook 14. It worked fine up until today, when the sound suddenly stopped working. The sound icon on the bottom bar had a red X. I went through the troubleshooter and it removed the X but it didn't fix the sound. External headphones
don't work either. Does anyone have a fix?

Indeed, I have no audio output on my Asus Zenbook 14 oled, I have no sound on my speakers, neither jack nor bluetooth, I tried to reinstall all the audio drivers on the Asus website (Realtek audio etc) nothing works, what's weird is that I don't see realtek appearing in the device manager, and also intel smart sound for oed fails to start. Moreover the realtek audio service is started but not intel(R) audio which fails to start with no event log error.

Asus Zenbook no audio from internal speakers

Ever since installing a Windows update about a year ago on my ASUS Zenbook UM433I I have had constant issues with no sound coming from the internal speakers. Sound works fine through plugging in headphones, Bluetooth and HDMI. Sometimes the sound works on the laptop speakers then it will suddenly stop working at all for days or even weeks. It's driving me mad! I have tried reinstalling the Realtek audio drivers multiple times and nothing works. I have also turned off audio enhancements as suggested by people.

This time it has already been 10 days since it was last working.
