Windows 10: Did something change in Server 2022 RemoteApps to make DXGI screen capture return black...

We have an server application that launches within a user session and takes a screenshot of the desktop. The application uses D3D11 and DXGI dxgi1_2 libraries to interact with the graphics subsystem. We've run into a problem on Windows Server 2022: in the case of a RemoteApps session, when the application calls IDXGIOutputDuplication::AcquireNextFrame a black frame is returned. However, it works correctly for both the console sessions and the remote desktop sessions. The application works correctly in previous versions of Windows Server 2019 and earlier in all cases. Terminal Server RemoteAPP program screen black/cut off

Had an issue come up recently and I am not sure to fix it. We use RemoteApp for an ERP Program.

We are setup with the following:

10 Terminal Servers Windows 2012 R2 with office 2010, latest updates from Windows and Office. Each server runs our ERP program. All connect to a central DB

1 Mananament server

1 Connection Broker

Users PC is windows 10

Users PC connect to the Terminal server via remoteapp URL and can see the icons. For some reason, users are getting the program chopped off or black screen in certain areas.

Tried the following to fix:

I tried to update there display drivers on the PC. Got the same issue

Updated the Terminal servers and still got the same issue.

Tried to see if this is isolated to one Terminal Server, but its happens on all of them.

Not sure what else to look at.

We've deployed Win 10 to a small handful of test users and the biggest issue we've seen so far is with RemoteApp. We're running MS Dynamics GP in a RemoteApp environment and it worked very well with Win 7 and 8.1 but since upgrading to Win 10, users are
finding that the File menus on the remote app do not work unless they click out of the remoteapp and then back into the remoteapp.

Obviously, for accounting personnel that spend all day in GP, this is a deal breaker for Win 10. Looking for any suggestions or ideas to resolve.

Server 2019 RemoteApp Splash Screen Stuck

We have been transitioning some of our remote servers from 2012 R2 or 2016 to 2019 when we recently saw this issue. We have an application that is installed on the server and published as a RemoteApp for the
users. When the application launches, there is a Splash Screen that shows the version and information about the app while it is loading. As the Login dialog box for the app is opened, the Splash Screen is closed several seconds before it opens. The problem
is that the Splash Screen is stuck on the screen. If the Advanced RemoteFX setting in Group Policy is active, the screen will remain in full and if it is disabled, it will leave a Black Box in the exact location that the Splash Screen had been.

There is a thread on Technet about this and there are no answers or responses since May (except what I have recently added). This is exactly what we are also seeing.

Really do not want to have to pay Microsoft for an incident to get an answer as to why this is not working as it does in 2012 R2 and 2016 without any issues. The version of 2019 is Version 1809 Build 17763.652.
For the Client PC, this happens with Windows 10 Version 1809 Build 17763.503 and Windows 7 Version 6.1 Build 7601 SP1.

Any help would be appreciated.
