Windows 10: Very frequent BSOD's after switching Internet Security brands

So last week I decided to switch to another internet security. First I installed the new internet security software. After that I removed the old one, so that there would be no gap.The new IS found 2 suspicious/infected files, which were removed. Since this switch my pc started to have BSOD's every 5-10 minutes. In the last year I had only 3 or so BSOD's, all related to NVIDIA video card drivers. Those are resolved with newer drivers I hope. The BSOD tells me that IRQL is not less or equal, under that there is the statement: what failed: ntoskrnl.exe.I have windows 11, latest updates, all bi

Random BSOD while browsing internet


BitDefender is nothing special. mwac.sys causes BSODs anywhere.

In that very thread, the suggested action apparently worked.

The storage and network filters of any third party antivirus can cause BSODs. Neither MBAM nor BitDefender is any special. For a regular antivirus, it may be shifted to an alternative; but MBAM has no alternative. So a clean install of the said program is the most feasible first step.
As far as the first step is not failing, it is better to not think for the second step. Because the BSODs are not universal, failure at the first step is not universal; and success at the second step is also not universal.
That is why I posted that my suggestion may work, or may not. Let us see where it goes.

suggest best internet security/antivirus for windows 7

Hello,

I m using HP envy 3090nr laptop having windows 7 home premium.

I was using norton internet security previously which was very good, no virus problem so far.

But i want to know any other internet security which is better or similar and free?

Give your suggestions for best free as well as best paid internet security.

Also give your opinion for microsoft security essentials.
