Windows 10: Unable to bypass Windows 11 Print Preview behaviour change.

The latest version of Windows 11 now forces the new Windows Print Dialog Preview window to appear showing it continuously 'connecting' but never 'connects', yet never shows the actual preview after when clicking 'Print' in the Crystal Reports pop-up. And when you subsequently click on Cancel, to get out of the new Windows 11 Print Preview window, the reports prints out fine.This is changed behaviour is caused by a Windows 11 update.There was a registry hack namely: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Print\UnifiedPrintDialog]"PreferLegacyPrintDialog"=dword:00000001That would revert to the o

We need to gather more information for us to better assist you on your concern. Kindly answer the following:

• When did the issue start?
• Were there any changes made on your computer before encountering the issue?
• What is the OS Build of your Windows 10? To know the build of your Windows 10, follow these steps:
  • Click the Windows logo (Start button).
  • Click the gear icon (Settings).
  • Select System.
  • On the left pane, choose About.
• What is the model of the printer that you're using?
• Does the issue occur on all of your images that you're attempting to print?
• Have you checked if the Print Preview window will appear if you will print the image using the
  Share tab in File Explorer? To print an image using the Share tab, follow these steps:
  • Access File Explorer.
  • Navigate to your picture files, and then highlight one file.
  • Click the Share tab at the top of File Explorer.
  • In the Send group, choose Print.

I understand the inconvenience caused to you. I will be glad to assist you with your issue.

To assist you better I would appreciate if you could answer the following question:

1. Are you unable to print any documents?

2. What is the exact issue you are facing?

To see what the print copy will look like before you print it, open the document in a program that offers a print preview. Print preview is typically located on the File menu for a program. You should be able to preview
each page of the document. In some programs, you can choose print options in the preview mode, and then print directly from the preview. In other programs, you might have to close the preview, change the document or your printer settings, and then print it.

Arrange all your stuff, and press Old method
Ctrl + P keys shortcut. This shortcut will call the available list of all devices on the right- hand of the screen chooses the choice by scrolling up and down.

While printing, you will come in the center of maximum options which can be use for the printing option. So arrange all your stuff, choose some preferences and go with the Print Button.

Unable to upgrade Windows 11 Home to 11 Pro

Thanks much, Dave, indeed it was a big job.

Clean install of Windows 11 from a bootable USB helped to Activate the Pro.

Just to summarize what was done:

1. Took backup of the drives and save some on cloud.
   
2. Installed the Media creation tool app as you suggested (Windows 11 herunterladen)
   
3. Connected the USB and ran the application and downloaded the Windows 11.
   
   1. additional thing which I had to do is to install WLAN driver to the USB in advance, to have the WIFI option available as it was required to connect to a network to download the latest windows features while reinstalling the Windows, and Wi-Fi option was not available.
      
4. Turned off the 'Secure boot' from the BIOS menu.
   
5. Changed the 'Boot Order' in the BIOS menu to first use the USB Boot.
   
6. Saved and Exit, which triggered Restart and Windows installation.
   
7. During the network connecting stage to install the latest updates and features - 'Let's Connect you to a network', I opened the CMD (Shift + F10) and ran than WLAN driver exe to install it and then I was able to connect to my WIFI network.
   
   1. Optional to this step is to BYPASS the network connection stage by following this - bypass "lets connect you to a network" - Microsoft Community
      
   2. Then, doing that manually once Windows has been installed.
      
8. Once everything is set-up, I followed the suggestion from this again, and it worked - Unable to upgrade Windows 11 Home to 11 Pro - Microsoft Community
