Windows 10: Ensure Unlisted File Extensions are not allowed

Hi Team,I need to fix OS IIS below VA. I had tried given steps, but it is not supporting by applications.4.7 Ensure Unlisted File Extensions are not allowed - Default 4.7 Ensure Unlisted File Extensions are not allowed - Applications I had Tried below solutionsTried adding the setting with allowUnlisted="false" and observed that it didn't work as expected.As recommended to add a wildcard extension * to support routing properly and observed that it didn't work as expected.

"Unlisted File Extensions are not allowed" IIS 8.5 option is filtering all URL calls to WebSphere

We are running IIS 8.5.9600.16384 with Windows 2012 R2, with IIS routing Java server application calls to WebSphere Application Server 8.5. In IIS, we have configured a web server instance, where it serves static files from the disk, at the same time the
IIS-WAS connector ensures URLs that call the Java server are routed properly. This configuration is running correctly with no issues.

As part of our security hardening process we need to enable the "Unlisted File Extensions are not allowed" option, however it ends up blocking URLs that should be routed to our WAS server. We added a white list of allowed extensions (htm, html, js, xml,
etc)., along with a period (".") - which was recommended on the internet. The files from the static site are being served properly, but IIS is still blocking all the Java servlet application calls.

Is it possible to enable this option for this configuration? Or is IIS truly unable to route extensionless-URLs to WAS?

 

Adding unlisted printer to the Win10 list

!'m not sure how I did it but all seems well now. It was something like Deacon suggested plus a re-boot or two. It's now listed as a printer, not as unspecified.





Update the list still doesn't work.

Extensions unresponsive

I realized your concern and will assist you to resolve the issue.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

• 
  Settings > System > Apps & Features > Uninstall the problem Edge Extension(s)
  
• 
  Go to Store > manually search the store for the extension, then install it again.
  

After it's installed, click the 'Launch' button and it will take you to Edge where you can set it up.
